THE THUNDERSTORM

The sky is dark
The clouds are gathering
It is happening  again
The winds are blowing and the roofs are chattering
It is night at daylight

The palms are swaying majestically
From side to side like royal masquerades in their full regalia
The birds are in panic and are running to find shelter
Something is imminent.

Soon it will pour down on the earth
In full strength, it will empty itself upon the lands.
Man and beast alike
Seeking shelter from the rains

And I’ll cuddle in my bed, think of people that matter most to me
Reminisce about my past,
Feeling nostalgic for my childhood days when mum will sing sweet lullaby in my ears
I’ll smile to myself and let the rustling sounds of the cool gentle breeze sing me to sleep.
